Priscilla Peynetsa - Zuni Pottery

This is a new pot that was made Circa 1999

Priscilla Peynetsa is considered one of Zuni's top potters. Here is a large bowl that features a Lizard that begins as a painted figure along the side of the pot and as the design reaches the pot's top the Lizard rises in three dimesions out of the clay and above the pottery itself. Also in the design are repeating deer with heartlines. These are symbols of prosperity and creation.
