Sandra Victorino Acoma Pottery

Sandra Victorino was a potter since she was 10 years old. "The way I learned was watching my grandmother  make  her pottery. I thought I would try too. There are no schools, no universities that teach the complex techiques and skills necessary to make Native American Acoma Pottery. It takes many years to learn and requires much dedication and sacrifice. It is learned by listening to the elders, the potters that have come before. Skills are handed down from generation to generation..."

This collection of Sandra Victorino pottery was purchased circa 2000 in Acoma Pueblo.

Sandra Victorino has been winning awards for her fine pottery since 1986.  She is among the top
Acoma potters and her pots are represented in numerous books and museums.

Very Large Seed Bowl with repeating Flower design

New and made Circa 2000

Here is an extremely complex design that Sandra no longer produces. The pottery walls are
quite thin and make a pleasing "ting" noise when lightly tapped. This is a wonderful pot made
in the traditional Acoma pottery style.
